Google Ads has announced it is now increasing the limit for negative keywords for its Performance Max (PMax) campaigns from 100 to 10,000 per campaign.
This is great news for advertisers, as it brings the limit in-line with Search campaigns and means that you can have much greater control over where your ads appear.
In theory, this increase means you can maximise the effectiveness of each campaign and see better performance as a result.
The change appears to have come about by Google receiving feedback from advertisers that the 100 words cap was far too restrictive. In a tweet from Ginny Marvin, Google Ads product liaison, she cites this feedback and announces the change to the cap.

According to Ginny, this change is in the process of rolling out, so keep checking your Google Ads account to see when you get access.
