Coming up, for the first time in the UK, a one-day, growth marketing conference in the heart of Newquay Cornwall; welcome to the Out Of Office Conference.
This has been meticulously planned by Marwick Marketing to bring marketing leaders and business owners together to talk about all things across the industry. Out Of Office is an opportunity for major brands and speakers to get together, share ideas and listen to some key note talks from the outdoor lifestyle’s leading voice including; YETI, Passenger, Patagonia, talks from BrandWave, social media legends, talk focussing on the power of culture, how to use AI as a framework and so much more.
Out Of Office is running from 9am to 4pm at the Expo Hall, Wax Gym, with a focus on distinctly strategy, community, culture and people – in a relaxed setting by the sea. Get tickets here.

Here’s a rundown of what’s on the agenda.
Doors open at 8:30am, with a welcome and introduction from Jason Bradbury of the Gadget Show, kicking things off at 9am.
9:15am: Influence 2.0: The Next Era of Social Creators. Robyn Pound-Woods (founder of Current Creative) hosts a panel with Luke Mackley, Martyn Odell and Amy Ralston looking at how influencer marketing has moved on from polished feeds and one-off partnerships. The session digs into how platforms like TikTok pushed more informal, personality-led content into the mainstream and why brands built around glossy, Instagram-first output have had to adapt to audiences wanting something more immediate and real.
10am: Social Impact and the Role of Brands. Chris Thomson (DYSUJO founder) hosts voices from YETI, Airbnb, Patagonia, Vans and Dr. Martens, including Janine Hearn-Odell, Lisa Douglas and Grace Harding, to explore what genuine brand purpose looks like versus performative gestures.
10:45am: Coffee break.
11am: The Mainstreaming of Outdoor Culture: Balancing the Risk and Reward. A keynote from Dan Macaulay (Brandwave) and Sue Gurner, who has worked to elevate brand positioning for the past 20 years, examining outdoor culture’s move into the mainstream.
11:45am: From Passion Project to £100M Brand. A fireside chat between Chris Thomson and Richard Sutcliffe, founder of Passenger, tracing the clothing brand’s journey from a 2012 passion project to a £100m-plus revenue business growing 78% year-on-year and some crystal-balling on what’s next for the brand.
12:15pm: Summer BBQ lunch.
1:15pm: Thinking Fast & Slow Social. Michael Corcoran introduces his “Organic Social Matrix”, a framework for mapping fast and slow content across prompted and unprompted discovery, aimed at helping brands stop producing more content for diminishing returns. Michael’s a name you should know, the man responsible for RyanAir’s viral social platforms.
2pm: How to Build a Stronger Destination Brand (and Business) in a Tough Economy. Andrew Marcus explores how places, cultural organisations and local businesses can market themselves effectively when budgets are tight and competition for attention is fierce.
2:45pm: Refreshment break.
3pm: Brand to Bottom Line. Karl Loudon offers a practical session on connecting brand activity to business outcomes, covering agency briefs, budget frameworks, AI as a strategic tool, and in-house vs. outsourced decisions.
3:30pm: When Consumption Shifts: How Brands Adapt. A panel of drinks-industry experts, hosted by Carly Foxwell, uses shifting drinking habits as a case study for how any brand can stay resilient when demand and culture change. With Claire Warner, Olly Barkley and John Hall.
